Jessie Price, author and food editor of EatingWell magazine, is on a mission to get Americans to eat healthier. As the ambassador of Pasta: The Perfect Food education campaign, Jessie wants folks to know that pasta is healthy, nutritious and satisfying and provides carbohydrates that are essential to fuel your body and brain.

Jessie PriceJessie grew up in a family full of great cooks and food fanatics. After graduating from Williams College, she cooked in restaurants in California and Colorado, including the Relais & Chateaux, Home Ranch near Steamboat Springs. She started out testing and developing recipes for EatingWell and joined the editorial team full time in 2004 when she moved from San Francisco. As the deputy editor of food for EatingWell Media Group, Jessie directs the food content for EatingWell magazine, eatingwell.com and EatingWell cookbooks.

She has worked on six cookbooks for EatingWell and is the author of EatingWell in Season and Comfort Foods Made Healthy and is the co-author of 500-Calorie Dinners to be released January 2010. Jessie lives in Charlotte, Vermont, where she strives to cook scrumptious, satisfying dinners every night while staying fit and healthy.

Jessie’s favorite pasta dish is Angel Hair Pomodoro because of its simplicity – fresh tomatoes from the garden, garlic, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil with fresh grated parmesan on top.
